We decided to employee a taxi or uber to go to the old downtown area (which I highly recommend visiting, lots of great restaurants) We had supper at a fun little place called the The Hub Pub, fantastic with good food and wonderful staff. When we were ready to return to our hotel but were having a difficult time confirming either an Uber or taxi. Our fantastic waitress came by and we explained the difficulty locking down transportation, she offered to see what she could do, she returned and exclaimed, "got one! I booked the Karaoke Cab!! "Partypilot Karaoke Taxi". The ride home went by too fast, we had a blast singing and laughing as sang along to the karaoke in the cab, highlight of our trip-hands down!

Unless you have reason to be in Grand Forks, keep driving...
Unless you have reason to be in Grand Forks, keep driving another hour to Fargo! Not much left to come here for unless you have a child attending North Dakota University. The only shopping left is J C Penny, less than satisfying, even Gordman's is gone. Kohl's, TJMax and Ross for Less have very little worth buying. The restaurants close early (or aren't open) so be prepared to have your evening meal at McDonald's. Everything is closed on Sunday from 12:01 a.m. until Sunday afternoon so if you want breakfast, bring it, hope the hotel offers something or drive to McDonald's.
It does have an airport however that is serviced by Allegiant Airlines and that makes Grand Forks valuable.
If you are looking to revisit rural America in the 1950s, then this is the place to come.

Very friendly people and the serving staff in restaurants were the same. Exemplary customer service skills. I did however find it odd that the front desk staff seemed to be unavailable in the morning when we were leaving? And, at this point from all the emails I’ve received I haven’t a clear idea what is going to be charged on my credit card for the two night stay and no extras. It’s confusing and I don’t appreciate it.

We had a great time shopping, found lots of great deals at TJ Max, Walmart and Scheels!!
We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner 1 night and The Blue Moose the 2nd night! They both were awesome!!
Our Hotel "Rodeway Inn" was right near Scheels, which we could walk to!!
Grand Forks is very easy to get around in!

Grand Forks is a nice small city.
Grand Forks is a nice small city. It has most things a person could want as far as shopping, but some dining establishments are either closed or very short staffed. Getting around town is quite easy. UND has great sports facilities of all kinds. Most specifically the Ralph Engelstad Arena. Which is used for many things like college hockey and concerts.

this wasn't worth my money at all. no hot breakfast at all.
this wasn't worth my money at all. no hot breakfast at all. no fruit, food my son is allergic to. The sink in the bathroom leaked so bad when you used it. they had ducktape on the elbow pipe. the maid came into our room daily. never made our beds. they keep the place so hot I had to keep the ac on. but every day she up plugged the ac but couldn't make our beds. one day she took all our towels n didn't give us any. I had to call the front desk at 7 pm to get more.
Room was clean and spacious. Overall property was nice and looked well cared for. We didn’t use the refrigerator as we weren’t in the room much aside from sleeping but that is a nice amenity available. Hotel is in perfect walking distance to the Alerus Center which has a decent restaurant and a casino/lounge area with a bar, pull tabs, and blackjack. Pretty easy Uber ride or drive to any other locations around town.
My husband loves the breakfast here and the staff are very nice. We stay at this hotel Everytime we go to Grand forks ND. And it's nice having a food place down stairs to order and bring up to your room. So you don't have to leave the hotel. My husband said that we will want to get room 412 or I think that was the room number nice room.
Room was clean and roomy. Location is perfect. Staff are pleasant and friendly. Bed was beyond comfortable. I like the breakfast options as well as a fridge and microwave in my room. The pet friendly was why I chose this hotel. I will definitely stay here again!! 👍💯🙂
My husband was looking forward to the breakfast as he had stayed before and really enjoyed the breakfast. But he previously stayed on a weekend and this time we were there on a weekday so the breakfast was not as spectacular but pretty much on par with similar hotels!
The location of the hotel was good, close to restaurants and shopping areas. The complimentary breakfast was fine.. eggs, sausage, toast, waffles, yogurt and coffee. The front desk staff was friendly, housekeeping gave us extra towel and got the TV working.
The staff were helpful an professional. Not sure we would stay in a pool side room as there are no rules to shut down so people can sleep. But would try the hotel another time. Was our first time back since March 2020 we sure missed coming to grand forks.
The hotel was very nice and the guy at the front desk, Gerard was very patient and accommodating. I had a little problem with the housekeeping method, they never came all through my stay, even after I requested for it.
no one i formed us the hottub was not working and my husband needed one for his back…we specifically booked a hotel with a hottub for that reason!!!! now u won’t refund me as we had to change to a hotel with a hottub
The front desk check-in was quick and easy; the hotel was very clean and well maintained; needed extra time to checkout with my young family and was granted permission by cleaning staff. All-in-all great hotel. Zaza
It was a good hotel room. Nice to have a full size fridge. Mattress was actually decent. Location was excellent, as it was just across the street from the concert. All in all, it was good value for money.
the breakfast is always excellent at this hotel. i've been at this hotel many times before and each time i really like the overnight staff, Amy...she made me feel very welcomed.
The room was bigger than the rooms I have stayed in at other hotels. The pool was nice with the basketball hoop added some fun. The staff was really friendly.
